Handsome chubby bubby Bobby!  This cute little chihuahua came to us with Princess.  They were adopted out by a local shelter a few years ago but after a break up, they were no longer wanted.  Initially, we wanted to keep them together but after being in our rescue for several months, we determined that they are not bonded.  They just need other little dogs in their homes or someone who is home a lot. 

Bobby is 13 yrs old and still quite spry.  He can do stairs easily and really loves to be outside.  He is fine with other small dogs but REALLY loves people!  He would love to have person all his own.  Bobby walks nicely on a leash and is a polite little dog.  Because of his age and size, a home with no large dogs or small children is best.  Bobby is looking for his retirement home.  Yes he is a senior but he deserves a home of his own with an owner that won't desert him when he needed them the most.    Oh and he LOVES chicken!
 

What are some of the reasons to adopt a senior dog?  Let me tell you!  They are ready to love and BE loved!  They are calmer and have a lower need for exercise (although they may need and want a little).  Because they are less active - they require less food! Their medical and behavior issues are known.  They are usually trained but can also pick up a new routine!  Senior dogs do NOT do well in a hectic, noisy shelter - which is why we try very hard to help as many as possible.  One of the best reasons to adopt a senior dog has nothing to do with convenience but everything to do with kindness.  Senior dogs deserve a chance to live out their lives in a loving home.  Wouldn't you love to give this dog that chance?

Bobby is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, tested neg for heartworm.  Both dogs were at the vet recently for physicals and vaccines, Bobby has a slight heart murmur -to be expected at his age but not on any medication.  He also had a dental in March.  His  adoption fee is $75 - we just want to find him a wonderful home!  If you think that you could provide this, please apply online!
