Nicholas is a 4 year old maltese, he weighs about 11 pounds.  He was found as a stray and taken to the city shelter where he was never claimed.  He was so scared there that they asked us if we could help and of course we had to. 

Nicholas is sweet and gentle but he is still nervous in new situations.  He would prefer to sit in his crate until he gets comfortable.  He likes other dogs and tries to play with them but we don't know if he knows how!  He jumps around and then runs to his crate when they play back, lol.  Nicholas also likes to pick up everything he can find and put it in his crate too!  He doesn't destroy anything, just likes to collect.  Nicholas would do better in a home that can work with him and bring him out of his shell.  He is a very nice dog, just shy and needs socialization.  Nicholas is leash trained and crate trained.  He is doing great on his housetraining too!  He would be fine in an apartment as long as he is walked often.  Kids would be fine if they are older and gentle.  No issues with other dogs or cats. 

Nicholas is now neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and heartworm tested neg.  His adoption fee is $275 - please apply online if interested!
