Lucy is now available for adoption! This fluffy little girl was an owner surrender and is looking for a lap of her very own. She has a cleft pallet which makes her look a little like she’s snarling but she is a very sweet and gentle dog, and wants to cuddle up with everyone. Her favorite past times are sitting on her foster parent's laps and getting snacks. Her cleft pallet does make it difficult for her to eat out of a bowl but she manages just fine on a flat surface. She enjoys sniffing around the yard of her foster home but mostly likes to lay on a bed or couch with you or while you work. She is mostly low key but enjoys playing with the resident dog from time to time.  She does walk on a leash but could use some training and she prefers a short walk in nice weather. She has a fenced in yard at her foster home and it would be preferable for her new home to have one as she does not always like walking on a leash.  She is potty-trained and will go in her foster home’s fenced in yard. She is very smart and quickly picked up her foster family’s routine. She follows her foster parents all around and prefers to be with her people. She likes to be right on your lap if given the opportunity.  She would make a great companion dog. She can be left out alone, she doesn’t chew things up. She has been living in her foster home with another dog and is doing well. She is living with children and is very sweet with them.  She has not been tested with cats. She knows her name and comes when called. She is very treat motivated. Lucy is just a very sweet little girl and would make a great addition to any family.
