Snow Flake's Sponsorship Page
Our cute little Snowflake, with her little black nose, is ready for adoption. Talk about a happy girl! She cannot contain her joy. When her tail wags, her whole body wiggles, from head to hiney and her mouth is wide open with the sweetest smile. Snowflake is a 6 year old Coton de Tulear who was recently released from a breeding situation. She spent the first part of her life being a mama for all her puppies, and now it’s her turn to be someone's baby. And at 6 years old, she is in the prime of her life exploring all this world has to offer.
Snowflake is loving her life outside of the cage. She is extremely curious about her new world. Snowflake has learned all about the stuffed toys and enjoys running around the house with them in her mouth. She also knows the couch and bed are soft and comfy. On rainy days, she has a hard time getting out of bed, just like the rest of us. Once she is up, it’s time to play. Snowflake enjoys running in the yard. Her and the other dogs in her foster home are on yard patrol. She spends the morning chasing the squirrels and birds that invade her space. Once the yard is cleared of them, it’s time to focus on wrestling with her doggy friends. They run laps in the yard, up and down the stairs of the deck, and wrestling with each other. She stops briefly for a quick drink of water, then back at it. After a couple hours of play, it’s nap time. Up on the couch she goes to chew on the stuffies by herself then fall asleep. Once rested, Snowflake is ready to play again. Or do whatever it is you want. Snowflake is very animated and will entertain you with her antics. She loves to shake her butt and try to catch her tail. She will throw the stuffed toys in the air and play bow and leap on them. It’s so funny to watch the joy this little girl has.
At bedtime, Snowflake sleeps in bed up against her foster mom all night. Snowflake gives the softest little kisses. In fact that’s how she will wake you up in the morning. She will step on you and kiss your face. After 6 years in a cage, Snowflake is still working on her house training. She’s doing pretty well. She knows what to do when you take her outside. As long as you take her out on a regular basis, Snowflake will continue to improve. Of course accidents will happen at first. She does very well in crate or in a gated area while you are gone for the day. Snowflake is also working on her leash training. She seems to like the leash but will only go so far before she has had enough.
Snowflake has not been around cats so we are not sure how she is with them. She does live with Guinea pigs. She’s curious about them, but after a day or so she tends to leave them alone. She is hesitant around new people. She is not aggressive at all, but will back away initially. She prefers when new people start by letting her under her chin, then talk softly to her. Once she knows you are safe, Snowflake is your buddy. At this time we are requiring a fenced in yard and another dog to help her adjust and continue to evolve into the best girl she can be. No electric fences please. Snowflake is heartworm negative, up to date on vaccines, spayed and recently had a dental. If you think you can continue to help Snowflake blossom, please apply today. Her adoption fee is $450
