Ruby

Ruby definitely is a gem.  At her young age, this precious girl has been through a lot.  She was found pregnant as a stray in Texas.  She was lucky enough to be found by our friends.  All of her babies were adopted but no one seemed to see the love that Ruby could offer.  She quickly became a rescue favorite.   Ruby has a lot of love to offer, but she is afraid to love too quickly.  She is a shy and reserved girl.  We don't know her full back story but we do know that once she trusts, our little Ruby has plenty of kisses to give.

Ruby is only 3 years old, and who knows how many litters she has had.  When Ruby first meets new people she doesn't know what to think of them.  She tends to sit back and watch the house rules. She is not one to jump into playing.  Her favorite things to do include, snuggling under the covers, relaxing on the back of the couch, sitting outside in the sun, lots and lots of belly rubs, and of course giving tons of kisses to her family.  Ruby is not a big barker at all, in fact, we have not heard her bark yet in her WNY foster home.  After a few days of adjustment, Ruby has started to follow her foster mom all around the house.  She is a typical velcro dog.  No matter where her mama is, Ruby is close behind.  Ruby gets very excited to see her family too.  She is the first to jump up and say "Hi" when they get home.  Ruby is crate trained, but still working on her house training.  She just needs time and consistency, and we are sure she will catch on.  Ruby knows what do do when she goes outside in the yard, she is just a little slower at going potty and needs a little more time in getting it all out.  We are working on leash training with Ruby, and she is doing very well.  Ruby's foster is requiring a fenced yard for her at this point - no invisible fences please.  Ruby would do best in a quiet home with older children, and another confident but kind dog to show her that people aren't so bad.  If you think you have the loving, caring home that Ruby needs, make sure you apply.  You won't be disappointed!

Ruby is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $350
