Mr. Mitter is looking for his forever home. Could it be yours? Mitter is a 5 year old chihuahua who found his way into a local shelter after he was surrendered as part of a hoarding case. In the shelter, Mitter was extremely shy and nervous. He refused to make eye contact, showed no interest in eating or playing with the other dogs. He was quickly shutting down, so of course we had to help him out.

Since being in his foster home, Mr. Mitter has learned that people aren’t so bad. Mitter is excited when his family comes home and asks to be loved on, jumping and whining until he is satisfied with the pets. He is shy when he first meets people so a home that is quiet, with patient mama and papa, would be best for him. Mitter’s follows the lead of the other dogs in the home. He would definitely benefit from having a confident dog in the home. One that he can follow around, play with and snuggle with. Mitter is crate trained and is working on his house training. He enjoys being outside, running and frolicking in the yard. When Mitter goes outside he knows exactly what to do,  so with frequent potty trips, and the nicer weather, Mr Mitter will catch on quickly to what is expected, but of course always be prepared for accidents.
