Angel is a 2 year old min pin chihuahua mix. She arrived in a local shelter when her previous owners abandoned her after they moved. She was left with a neighbor for what was to be 3 days but a month later, they never returned for her. Poor Angel was scared in the shelter and was quickly shutting down. Due to her poor kennel presentation, the shelter knew Angel was not a candidate for adoption and reached out to Pixie Mamas for help.

Angel loves people and is very friendly!  She is a lap dog that can leap into yours and give you lots of kisses! She has zero sense of personal space because all she wants is affection!  Angel is very active and loves to run and play in the yard with other dogs.  Then she gets cold and says let me in NOW!  She is crate trained and will go to it immediately when you tell her to.  She is working on her house training, she’s just about there too and will also use pads.  She has a fenced yard in her foster home and if she is going to be walked, there will need to be extra training time.   There may be accidents at first as she adjusts to your routine, but that is always expected.  She will give you her stuffed toys to throw over and over again!  

Angel is not a perfect angel though. She does have some guarding issues, especially when is comes to chew toys.  Her foster mom has been working with her on this and has figured out how to handle it.  She will drop it and leave it if told.  She mainly guards an chewie or a toy in her crate.  If this happens, we tell her to come out of her crate and remove the chewie.   Because of this, older children only (13+).  Angel is a wonderful, loving girl that needs a dog savvy owner.   Angel has a lot of energy and would love to go on all sorts of adventures with you. If you are looking for a running partner, look no farther, Angel is your girl. She will play fetch for as long as you want to throw the stuffies for her. With some more training Angel will be a great companion. We do feel that an experienced dog owner would be the best fit for Angel.
