Jax is A very sweet Beagle mix that was found abused and tortured in Texas as a small puppy.  He is just 11 months old and although timid he does want to love people.  Jax is learning every day to trust humans.  He loves other dogs and will require another confident, playful dog in his new home to show him the way.  Jax is crate trained and is working on Housebreaking. Just like any timid puppy he needs to be let out regularly and due to his fears he will need a fully fenced yard (no invisible fences).  Leash training has been a very slow process and to be honest it hasn’t went over very well.  Jax has multiple scars around his neck and we think that is why he struggles so much on a leash.  Like any beagle he does love treats so that helps with the bonding experience and will eventually help with training.  He is a really good boy has come so far in his foster home but we know with more one on one attention Jax can thrive in his forever home.
