Oh Mickey - what a handsome fellow you are!  He is a 12 year old Shih Tzu and just 14 pounds.  Mickey's owner passed away and the family decided to take him to the shelter instead of caring for him in his senior years.  

Mickey is a sweet, quiet little fellow.  He is always happy to see you and wags his little tail to tell you so.  He is crate trained and likes to nap in it all day long.  Mickey is leash trained too.  He does well on his pottying but needs time to adjust to his new home and routine.  He was having accidents at his former home but they left him all day.  Mickey is fine with cats and kids (they need to be respectful of him too!).  Mickey was a bit of a mess medically and needed some work.He is getting older and has a bit of trouble seeing, he was diagnosed with dry eye and will need meds going forward.    He has had a dental, a wart removed and his eyes medicated - now he feels and looks like a million.  Mickey also has some arthritis in his hips so he is not confident on stairs and will need some help.  

Mickey is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated, tested neg for heartworm, has had a dental and wart removed.  Whew! His adoption fee is only $125 - Mickey will need ongoing medical care for his eyes and probably arthritis.  Please take that into consideration if you are interested in giving Mickey a home for his golden years!
