Handsome dog alert! Just take a look at this little face! Reggie is a 12 pound, 4 year old Shih tzu breeder surrender. He did not do much in his previous life other then help make puppies so his owner didn't have to work. When we were asked to help, our foster team said they are going to make sure he has the life he was always meant to!

Reggie is super sweet and has come so far in trusting people! He walks on a leash now and goes to events where he is cuddled and loved - and he is likes that! Yes things can still startle him and his new family will need to understand that. He is still learning that this big world doesn't have to be so scary! Reggie will need a home with another dog so they can teach him doggy things, or a very special family who will take the extra time to teach him things. He is working on housebreaking, walking on a leash, and how to finally enjoy life! He does well with his foster fur siblings, canine and feline. He is still a bit timid of outdoors and humans and will shy away when reached for. A quieter home would be better. If there are children in the house or that visit they should be respectful of him - we think in the 8+ range would be fine. Reggie will need a fenced in yard please - no electric fences. He loves a good bubble bath! He also doesn't mind being pampered and brushed - I think he would love to sit on someone's lap being brushed every day! He isn't too sure what toys are just yet- but we are working on that! Reggie's tail wags a lot for his foster mom - even when he gets into mischief! She has started to see him open up to his full potential and is now ready to hand him off to really bloom with his new family!

Reggie is now neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated, heartworm neg and has been given a dental! His adoption fee is $275 - please apply on our website if you are interested in making Reggie part of your family!
