Learn more about the Chihuahua. Contact Hoosier's Caretaker/Foster Directly: Foster This dapper gent is Hoosier! He is about 5 years old and weighs only 5.5 pounds! Hoosier is a long hair Chihuahua. He has alopecia (hair loss) which was most likely brought on by stress. His coat has started to come back in and may be with time, will fill out more or he could be like this for the rest of his life! He was quite bald when he arrived and now he is fuzzy! If you like a dog that looks a little quirky, then Hoosier is your fellow! Hoosier is sweet, initially shy but once he warms up to you he is a total love bug! Hoosier is crate trained and will begrudgingly walk on a leash. He would much rather have a fenced yard. Hoosier also uses pee pads! He is fine with other small dogs and has no issues with cats. Kids should be older if at all. He's not mean, he just doesn't want to deal with them lol. Hoosier is very good in the car and gets so happy when his foster mom takes him for a ride! Hoosier is a special little guy to his foster mom - she likes the quirky ones! His alopecia does not require any medication, just acceptance. Hoosier is now neutered, up to date on vaccines, mirochipped, heartworm neg, dewormed and he has been given a dental! His adoption fee is $200 - please apply online if you think you are the one for Hoosier!
