This beautiful little girl is Portia.  Portia is a 3 year old, 6 pound merle Chihuahua.  She was surrendered to us from her owner who could no longer care for her. 

Portia is a sweet girl but a bit shy.  She has come a long way since coming into rescue but still needs to gain trust of new people.  She is not aggressive, just nervous and a bit skittish.  She would do best in an adult home, no young kids. Portia  lived with several other dogs and really likes being with them.  They also help teach her that humans are pretty OK!  She loves getting treats and is food motivated.  Portia is crate trained and also leash trained.  She should have a fenced yard though because it will help in her housetraining.  Portia has learned to walk on a leash, conquered stairs and also goes outside on her own now when called!  She has learned the routine of her foster home and is smart! 

Portia is now spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm tested neg, worm/flea treated.  Her adoption fee is $275 - please apply on our website if you are interested!
