After a month of love and confidence building (and a new name) Willow is ready for her new forever home. She is a warm and soft dog that enjoys being petted and ear scratches. She is friendly with other dogs, and has made attempts to play with them. She has not shown any interest in toys at this time but loves to take a soft treat to her bed to enjoy. She may make a good companion for an older dog that prefers a quiet lif
e. She does love her dog bed, and sleeps in it in an area set up for her each night. She is shy and nervous at first but a new forever family will be rewarded with her love after a time of patience. She is a super sweet and beautiful girl, and despite a very rough start has come a long way in a month in foster care. She is used to being in a crate and will not relieve herself in it. She will go out doors to do it if she is taken from the crate to that destination. She also is an expert at using the puppy pad to relieve herself and this is part of the area that has been set up for her.
Willow has visual limitations due to a condition called dry eye. Her vision has greatly improved since getting veterinarian care and she has begun to explore the rest of the home for short durations. She is a great patient and allows foster mom to put the salve in her eyes at morning and night. She will require this medication every day. She is a young 8 years (12/10/2007) and 7.50 pounds and active and happy with a tail that is wagging since she has become comfortable with her new life. She has not met cats while in foster. She has not been walked on a leash. Willow will likely bond with older calm children but is not recommended for younger children. She is very easy to live with and does not touch things that are not hers or get into any kind of mischief
Willow is now spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm tested neg. She has been given a dental and has also received veterinary care for her eyes. Her adoption fee is $200 to help with these costs. If you are interested in giving this sweet lady a home, please apply online!
