Contact Penny's Caretaker/Foster Directly: Foster Pretty little Penny! This tiny girl is a puppy mill survivor! She is about 5 years old and weighs a mere 5 pounds. Penny is a beautiful maltese - and she will steal your heart for sure! Although Penny has been in the puppy mills of Ohio, she is doing very well! She is quite socialized and friendly, especially when there is food involved! She gets very excited about treats! Penny is fine with people, (men & women) and children are fine too (10+) as long as they are gentle with her. She is not skittish but will kinda pancake to the ground when you pick her up. Penny is great with other dogs and we think she should have another one in her future home. She loves to be outside too! Penny is doing well on her housetraining and understands what she should be doing outside but she still has accidents in the house. It will come with time and patience but we want her future family to be aware. She is learning stairs and has almost mastered going up! She is crate trained but we prefer to gate her in a kitchen when not home/ She is not leash trained yet but I think that would be something she could learn. Right now she needs a fenced yard. Penny has a whole new life ahead of her and she is eager to start it with her new family! Penny is now spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm tested neg, flea/worm treated and has been given a dental. Her adoption fee is $275 to help with the cost of her vet bills. You can apply online if you are interested in making Penny part of your family!
