Learn more about the Dachshund. Contact Hope's Caretaker/Foster Directly: Foster Hope is a 6 year old dachshund - she is a wee one at only 10 pounds! She was a breeder surrender to a local shelter along with several other dogs. When they asked for help, we couldn't say no to that face! Hope is very sweet - she is affectionate and loving. She loves people and wants to be with them. She is fine with other small dogs and has no issues with cats, just typical doxie behavior! Hope likes to play and run in the yard too! She is crate trained and leash trained - she is happy going for a walk. And she loves car rides too! She would be great for an older person or couple that can give her lots of love and attention! Hope tested positive for heartworm and just finished her treatment. She just needs one more hw test in March, which Pixie Mamas will be responsible for (at our vet) and will remain responsible for the remainder of her hw treatment until she is negative. So this should not stop you from considering giving this amazing girl a home! she will love you forever! Hope is now spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and has had a dental. Her heartworm treatment is complete except for her last blood test. Hope's adoption fee is $200, please apply online if you are interested giving her a home!
