Deacon is a 7 year old English Bulldog - he weighs about 41 pounds so he is on the smaller side for bullies!  He was a stray in the shelter, never claimed.  Deacon won us over and we love the goofy boy! 

Deacon is a special needs dog.  He has some issues with his back end - we are not sure if he was born this way or if something else caused it later in life.  His back legs are a little shaky  - he can walk, run and do anything else just fine but he sits and stands a little funny.  He is also incontinent - I know it sounds bad, but it is manageable.  He leaks urine when he is sleeping or relaxed - we use a belly band with him and its fine.  He will poop when he sleeps - he doesn't even know it is happening though.  His blankets need to be changed everyday.  It is not something that will get better, he will be like this for the rest of his life.  If you are interested - please make sure you understand this.  It will be work but taking in a special needs dog is worth it! 

Deacon is soooo sweet and loveable!  He likes people and is happy when he gets attention!!  He loves to go for short walks, he gets excited when he sees his leash!  Deacon is fine with other dogs, big or small.  He likes to play!  He loves toys too.  He is crate trained but we leave the door open for him just in case.  Deacon is fine with cats.  A fenced yard would be nice as he loves to sit out there watching the world go by!  He is a bit skittish with loud noises - he has come so far since we got him though, he is much better!  Deacon is a sweet boy - just a loveable goof.  And he makes the best bulldog noises!!  Just like the Tasmanian devil!!

Deacon is now neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and has been made healthy from the sick little guy that came to us.  We also had x rays done for him.
