Tapanga is a very pretty 1 year old female cocker spaniel (mix?).  She was surrendered to a shelter and was very scared there so the staff thought it was better if she was with Pixie Mamas!

Tapanga is sweet.  She bonds quickly and is very loyal!  She is never far from her person!  She will be in the same room or sleeping at your feet and you hardly even know she is there.    Tapanga is nicely leash and crate trained - she seems to be housetrained too but please expect accidents while she adjusts.  She loves to go for walks and is great in the car.  Tapanga is scared of loud voices and brooms.  She would be best in a home with older (teen) kids or a single person/couples dog.  She is good with other dogs.  Tapanga loves to play fetch with her tennis ball!  She loves treats and is easily motivated in training with them.  She is eager to learn and affectionate - that is her favorite reward LOVE!  She was recently groomed because she was matted and very dirty - now she looks all sporty for the summer!

Tapanga is now spayed, up to date with vaccines, heartworm neg, microchipped and flea/worm treated.  Her adoption fee is  $300  - that will help some of the older, not so adoptable dogs in our rescue!
