This handsome boy is Rufus!  Yes he is larger then the normal Pixie but we just couldn't resist this guy!  Rufus was found as a stray in Colden and never claimed. Once we met this guy, we knew we had to help him find a forever home!  Rufus is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, about 2 years old and 70 pounds.  He was a big hit at the vet's office when he went for a check up!

Rufus was definitaly someone's pet once.  He is VERY well trained and knows all the basic commands (sit, stay, down, paw).  He is leash trained and house trained!  He loves to go on long walks/runs and would be a fantastic companion for an active person or family.  He is great with kids!  Rufus is fine with other dogs, big or small and has no issues with cats.  Rufus is very sweet and loves attention!  He really likes toys too!  If you are looking for a 4 legged friend on the larger size, Rufus would be a great addition to any home!

Rufus is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, worm/flea treated and tested neg for heartworm.  His adoption fee is $200 - please apply online if you are interested in making him part of your family!

  •  We will call your vet's office for a reference - you must call them and give permission to release information to Pixie Mamas Rescue.

  • All animals breeds & ages are 'to our best our knowledge'

  • We DO NOT adopt out of state (including Canada) OR over 1 1/2 hours away from Buffalo, NY. NO exceptions. Please do not apply. (Any travel IN our adoption area is at the discretion of the foster home.)
