Dear old Steven.  Steven came to Pixie Mamas as an owner surrender.  His owner went into a nursing home and the family decided not to keep Steven.(Although they promised they would when they gave Grandma a puppy 10years ago!!)  So here he is, waiting for a new home.  Steven is a nice boy, probably around 10 or so years old.  Yes he is senior dog - please do not pass him by because of age.  He is calm and very laid back.  He enjoys being outside relaxing with a chewie and watching the world go by.  He is good with other dogs as long as they are not trying to get him to play and rough house BUT would prefer to be on his own as he is older.  He does play with some of the other dogs in the house though, he just does not like the troublemakers!    He is sweet - he loves to be pet and brushed.  Steven would be perfect for an adult home, someone looking for a dog that does not require a lot of training.  An older person that likes to walk and wants someone to talk to - he loves to look into my eyes when I am talking to him!  Steven can be a bit grumbly so someone with dog experience would be good too.  He can growl a bit but as long as you are firm and gentle, he is fine.  He is losing his eyesight & hearing a bit as that happens when a pet ages but it does not slow him down - you just have to talk a little louder and guide him initially!  Steven is leash trained and seems to be housetrained too!  He is always ready to go outside when we call!  He was very loved once and is waiting to feel that love again.  We are NOT asking anything for Steven's adoption fee, just a good home that he can be loved in.   Steven has some good years left, we just want him to enjoy them as much as possible!
