Learn more about the Chihuahua. This dear little guy is Edward. Ed was surrendered to a southern shelter by a breeder. He is 4 years old and weighs 9 pounds. Edward is lovable and a good cuddlier, especially in this cold weather! He likes other dogs but is happiest when he can use one of the lady dogs in the house as a pillow! Edward is a big fan of the floor heater and we know we can find him in front of it any time it's on! Edward will definitely need a yard that is fully fenced with a door leading from the house into the yard. Either he never had a collar/harness on or was treated very badly when he did have it on because he is terrified of them! But Edward comes every time he is called to go outside and he is usually the first one at the door! He would do best in a home with older, calmer kids. Not that he doesn't like kids but he doesn't want to be grabbed at really fast. He gets scared! Edward is a great little guy, he would love a home with other little dogs (especially females!) to snuggle with. Ed's favorite thing to play with are the little tennis balls and likes the game of fetch! He also loves a good bully stick! Edward is another one of our long term foster dogs, he has been with our rescue for over 2 years now. We do not understand why all these wonderful dogs are overlooked! Edward will have a place in our rescue until he is adopted - but we would sure like to find him a home and make room for another death row dog. Remember when you adopt a pet, you save more then just 1 life! Please consider giving this boy a home - he would be a great addition to your family! Edward is neutered, microchipped, up to date with vaccines, dewormed and heartworm tested neg. His adoption fee is $100.
