Say hello to Crystal!
Crystal is a beautiful 4-year-old Bichon who was rescued from a life of breeding. Because of her past, she has some typical puppy mill tendencies, especially when it comes to people. She is incredibly sweet but very shy—she won’t approach on her own and prefers to keep her distance at first. Crystal is not aggressive, just timid, and she will thrive in a calm, patient, and loving home where she can feel safe. A busy household with children would be overwhelming for her, so she needs a quiet environment.

Crystal absolutely loves other dogs and would like another dog in her new home for companionship and confidence. She enjoys having a big, roomy crate as her safe space and spends time happily watching her foster mom work during the day.

She is not leash trained and will require a fully fenced yard (no invisible fences). Crystal does not ask to go outside, so her adopter will need to pick her up and take her out. She enjoys being outdoors, especially when the weather is nice, and she is more comfortable using potty pads regularly.

Crystal can be barky at times, so apartment living may not be ideal. She is looking for a kind, patient person or family who will give her the time and love she needs to adjust to her new life. With understanding and care, Crystal will blossom into a wonderful companion. She truly deserves that chance.

Crystal is spayed, up to date with core vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and tested neg. for heartworm.  She has also been professionally groomed.  Her adoption fee is $475

• If you would like to adopt one of our "Pixies" you must fill out an application- it is the first step in the adoption process and we cannot move forward without a completed application.   

• We initially contact potential adopters via email with any additional questions or concerns. Please check your spam/junk folders.  

•  We will call your vet's office for a reference - you must call them and give permission to release information to Pixie Mamas Rescue.

• All animals breeds & ages are 'to our best our knowledge'

• We DO NOT adopt out of state (including Canada) OR over 1 1/2 hours away from Buffalo, NY. NO exceptions. Please do not apply. (Any travel IN our adoption area is at the discretion of the foster home.)
