Learn more about the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

Barry, aka Barry Manilow, is ready for his forever home. Talk about a chill and relaxed dog that just wants love and affection. Barry is always ready for some love. Barry is 5 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, who is a recent breeder release. Done are his days of producing puppies, and Barry is ready to be your baby. He is a younger dog, with an old soul. Barry enjoys the wind blowing in his ears as he sits out in the fresh air. As he sits and looks out over the yard, his foster mama often wonders what he thinks about.

Barry is a very sweet and loving boy. Nothing seems to phase him with his very mellow personality. Barry is very much a "go with the flow" type of guy. Barry is crate trained and appears to be housebroken. He does have a fenced yard in his foster home. He may have accidents initially if you have to walk him.  Barry is currently working on his leash training. He will walk a few steps, stop, then continue on. He isn't afraid of the leash, he is just unsure of it. Barry also seems to enjoy car rides. He is very happy to lay down in the backseat and go anywhere you are heading. Again, nothing seems to bother this guy. Barry does get along well other dogs. Barry is happy to be there as long as he has a place to lay his head. Right now, his favorite place to relax is on the cool kitchen floor of his foster home. He will snore the day away. And boy does he snore!  You can hear it through the whole house at times. Barry is not the type of dog that will ask for much. He is very happy to sit near you and feel your presence. He will sit and look up at you, asking to be pet. Or he will sit right at your feet looking for attention. Barry does not have cats in his current home, but based on his personality, we can only assume that cats will not be a problem for him.

In typical cavalier fashion, Barry was diagnosed with a grade 2 heart murmur. At this point there is no medication or treatment needed. He is asymptomatic. This will need to be monitored as he ages, but otherwise Barry is in excellent health. If you think Barry is a match for your family, make sure to apply today!

Barry is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  His adoption fee is $450
