Learn more about the Chihuahua.

Our beautiful Sadie is ready for her forever home. Talk about a Velcro dog that has so much love to offer; that’s our Sadie girl! Sadie is a 3-4 year old chihuahua. Sadie initially came in from Texas and was adopted. Sadly Sadie found  her way back into foster when her family had some unexpected changes and they could no longer keep her. Since being in foster, Sadie has proven herself to be wonderful little lady.

Sadie can be shy at first, as any chihuahua tends to be, but she will warm up rather quickly given a day or so. Sadie loves her people hard. She is always around her foster family. She loves to cuddle up next to them, rub herself under their chin, and is full of kisses. Sadie loves to play with the other dogs in her foster home. She will run and chase them through the yard and in the house. Sadie may be small but she is mighty and fast! Sadie is right behind her mama no matter where she is.  Sadie enjoys being on the couch, or in bed with her family at bedtime. If mama is in the kitchen, so is Sadie. Outside gardening, so is Sadie. Want to go for a car ride, Sadie is ready to go! She is happy to be buckled into her seat and ride shot gun with you.

Sadie is crate trained, and housebroken, although accidents may occur during her initial transition. Sadie is leash trained and walks like a pro. She has been a little nervous when approached by new dogs, when on a leash, in the past. She can be a little snappy with them. The best way for Sadie to meet new dogs, is either off leash or with a good old fashioned butt sniff, nose to nose is never good.

Sadie would do best in a home with older kids (12+), kids who can give her the space needed to adjust to a new home. Sadie does not live with cats currently, but we think she would be ok with them. She lives with guinea pigs and tends to leave them alone. Sadie does tend to be a bit of a barker. An apartment probably would not be the best living situation for her.

Sadie is a well adjusted little lady. If you think you can give her the home she deserves, make sure you apply today.

Sadie is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  Her adoption fee is $400
