Margie, a 9-year-old chihuahua who weighs 11 pounds, is eagerly waiting to find her new home. Although she may seem a bit chunky, she deserves all the love in the world. Margie was discovered on a deserted road somewhere in Texas, where she was dumped and left alone to fend for herself.  It's hard to imagine the fear and loneliness she must have experienced during that time. When we were asked to help Margie, we gladly said yes!

Margie is a gentle and sweet dog who loves to be around people. She enjoys sitting with her foster mom on an office chair as she works. Margie is very affectionate and likes to be petted, and will even give soft kisses on your hand. When it's time for a nap, she loves a comfy bed and will curl up by herself or with another small dog. Sometimes, she can be found snoozing in her kennel too.

Margie's favorite thing in the world is toys! She loves to gather them, hide them, throw them around, and even take them outside to bury them. It's the cutest thing ever! Margie likes spending time outside and is slowly getting used to the crazy Buffalo weather. When the weather is nice, she is happy!

Margie does not appear to be leash trained, as she was nervous when we tried to take her for a walk. However, she has a fully fenced yard in her foster home, and that works great for her. Margie seems to be housetrained, but please expect some adjustment time in her new home.

Margie gets along well with other dogs and has no issues with the cats in her foster home. She has not been around kids yet since arriving in rescue, but if they are older and respectful, she should be fine.

Margie is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped and tested neg. for heartworm.  Her adoption fee is $400 - please apply on our website if you are interested!
