Learn more about the Shetland Sheepdog Sheltie.

Sweet, Sweet Rye is a 6-year-old. 16 pound Sheltie who is looking for her forever home.

Sweet Ry spent the first six years of her life breeding, and now she's ready to settle down in a peaceful home that may or may not have other dogs. She's still learning how to be a dog and is unsure about toys, particularly squeaky ones, and stairs. Rye loves getting nose rubs and relaxing on the couch at the end of the day.

Rye is currently working on her potty training. Although she goes outside, she doesn't yet know how to alert anyone, so she occasionally uses a pee pad.

While Rye is not a big barker, she will start barking if other dogs in the house do or when she wants attention. During the day, she spends most of her time in bed but is not fond of the crate. She will go in if necessary, but she will make it clear how she feels about it!

It will take Rye some time to adjust to a new home, so she requires someone loving and patient. If you think you're the right fit for this sweet baby girl, apply for her today!

Sweet Rye is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  Her adoption fee is $450
