Who wouldn't want a lucky little penny? Everyone does! Penny is an adorable terrier mix who was found on the streets of Texas with her friend Sugar. Although we don't think Sugar is her mother, they look so much alike that we believe they are related! Penny is currently 11 weeks old, and we predict that she will weigh around 22 pounds when she is fully grown.

Oh, Penny is such a sweetie! She has the most adorable personality and loves to play with anyone or anything that will give her a little attention. If she doesn't get the attention she wants, she'll let you know with a little bark. It's so cute! Penny is also incredibly smart. She figured out how to climb stairs and go outside with the other dogs in no time. She's a quick learner and listens well, making her a joy to be around. She's doing great with her housetraining and can use potty pads too. However, since she's still a puppy, she'll need a little additional training to become a well-trained dog. But don't worry, with your love and patience, she'll get there in no time. Penny is not trained on a leash yet, but we think she'll learn it pretty fast, especially with your help. She's also crate trained, but she may cry a little at first unless she's with another furry friend.

Penny is absolutely amazing with other dogs, cats, and kids of all ages. She's the perfect pooch to have around the house and will brighten up your day with her loving personality. Whether she's playing with her furry friends or cuddling up with her human companions, Penny is always happy and eager to please. She's such a good girl that we can't imagine a home where she wouldn't be a perfect match. So if you're looking for a loyal and friendly companion, Penny is the dog for you!

Penny tested positive for Ehrlichia and Anaplasmosis, but she is not showing any symptoms. It is important to note that a positive test result for Ehrlichiosis/ Anaplasmosis does not necessarily mean that your dog actually has the disease. It simply indicates that your dog has developed antibodies to the infection after being bitten by a tick carrying the disease. Penny has been treated with doxycycline and should be tested again, but it is possible for her to remain positive for up to a year. If you have any concerns, please consult with your vet.

Penny is up to date with age appropriate vaccines, flea/worm treated, and microchipped,  We require a spay/neuter contract to be signed at the time of adoption (the cost of her spay is included in the adoption fee and fully explained in the contract).   She is scheduled to be spayed at Operation Pets on March 15 and it will be the adopter's responsibility to take her to the appointment.  Her adoption fee is $450
