Learn more about the Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier. Learn more about the Bichon Frise. Artie is ready to start his new life! Artie came to us from a breeder - his litter did not sell and they needed to get rid of them. Well that's ok - PMR will find the right families for these pups! Artie is 11 months old and weighs 26 pounds. He is a soft coated wheaton/Bichon mix. Artie is a handsome boy! His little nubby tail wags and wags when you talk to him, and he runs towards you to give your hands some kisses! He is learning to live in a home and be a real pet, so patience and love are a must. Although Artie has started to trust his foster more and more, he is still skittish, particularly when outside. However, he is trying hard, and we know things will come to him in time. He has already learned to climb stairs! Artie is crate trained but still needs training on the leash. At this point, he is not housetrained but will use potty pads for the most part. His foster home is working hard with the litter, but the majority of the training will have to happen with their new home. Fortunately, he is young and smart! Artie gets along with other dogs and likes to play with them too. He loves toys since they seem new to him, and he likes to kill the squeakers! Chewies are a must - they all love cow hooves and Nylabones. Artie does have a big bark! He is getting used to the cats in his foster home but is not aggressive towards them. He has been around kids and is just fine with them. All in all, he is a great dog with a great disposition! Artie will need to be groomed every few months, so please keep that in mind if you are interested.
Artie is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm. His adoption fee is $450
