Mr. Bruce is now available for adoption and is ready to find his new forever home! Bruce is a local dog from a nearby shelter. It seems that he was adopted out a few years ago but was later found as a stray in a pretty bad shape. He was severely matted, and his nails had grown into his pads. When PMR was requested to help, we quickly agreed to do so. As you know, we love their senior dogs, and we know you love them too! We are going to make sure that Bruce finds the right forever home now!

Although Bruce is listed as 8 years old, they think he is closer to 10. He is a poodle/terrier mix and weighs approximately 24 pounds.

Bruce is such a good boy! He is leash and crate-trained and appears to be housetrained as long as he can go outside. He loves being outside, wandering the yard and sniffing around. He can spend hours out there if allowed! Although Bruce does not need a fully fenced yard, it would be nice. He will require lots of walks and/or a secure tie-out so that he can spend as much time outside as he likes. Bruce is pretty low-key and low energy, although he gets bursts of energy when the other dogs start to play. When he is indoors, he likes to snooze the day away in his crate. They do not close the door, so it's up to him when he wants to go in or out. He is fine with other dogs with some playful interaction, but mostly he ignores them. Cats are not an issue. Bruce has been around older kids and also did not seem to mind them. He doesn't want to play, but if they want to walk him, he would be just okay with that! Bruce isn't super cuddly, but he likes attention. He does well with being bathed and groomed. He will need consistent grooming once his coat grows back. Bruce would be an excellent companion for someone who needs a friend to talk to and get them up and going for the day! He would love to be your buddy and faithful friend!

Bruce is neutered, up-to-date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated, and tested negative for heartworm. Bruce also desperately needed dental care when he arrived and received one - now he feels so much better! His adoption fee is $350.
