Awww Beauty! She definitely lives up to her name. It doesn't get much cutie and sweeter than this little love bug. Beauty is a 2 year old Maltese mix that came to us from a local shelter as an owner surrender.

Beauty is a sweet little girl who is full of kisses. Her tongue never stops going. Sometimes she can be found just licking the air. Beauty does not respond to the word "enough" when it comes to her kisses and love. We have found that singing, while rubbing her back, will calm her. Beauty will put her nose in the air and slowly close her eyes as you sing. It doesn't matter what you sing either, it settles her right down. Beauty is the typical velcro dog. She will immediately attach to her people and never leave you alone. Everywhere you go, Beauty is right there with you. On the couch, yep she's there, in bed, yep there she is, and even when you are doing dishes and emptying the dishwasher, Beauty is there. She just wants to make sure you know you are loved. 

Beauty loves other dogs, but again she does love everything. She doesn't seem to take their social cues that they have had enough of her love though. So, if there is another dog in the house, they should be tolerant of her neediness. Beauty walks well on a leash and is crate-trained. She enjoys going for car rides but should be restrained because again she is all over you to show you her affection and gratitude for taking her along. Beauty is still working on her house training at this point. She knows what to do when you take her outside, but she sometimes gets distracted by a sound, or a leaf blowing by, or simply the wind blowing, so you need to make sure she does her business while she is out there. 

Beauty seems to get along well with any person she meets. Due to the fact that she is small and wiggley, it is recommended that she goes to a home with old children, 12+, that can safely hold her without her jumping out of their arms. Beauty has no problem jumping and can easily clear a 3 foot gate in your home. She doesn't always land gracefully so we would worry about her getting hurt jumping down while being held.
