Her she is! The one you have all been waiting for. A dog like Juneau doesn’t come around too often in rescue. She is what we consider a “plug in” dog. She will fit into almost home. Juneau is an 18 month old terrier mix that came to us from down south. She is approximately 35 pounds of pure love. She had trouble finding a home down there for some reason, but we know she will be a hit in WNY. 

 

Juneau is a medium-sized girl who is just about perfect. She can be a little nervous around new people, but that doesn’t last long. After about 5-10 minutes she is glued to your side. Juneau loves everyone she meets. She is great with dogs of all sizes. Sometimes she can play a little rough so it may be too much for dogs under 6 pounds. Juneau just doesn’t realize that her paw is the size of their body. She’s not mean to them, though, just wants to play. Juneau appears to be housebroken, although accidents are expected in a new home. She does have a fenced-in yard in her foster home, so it may take a few tries to get her to potty on a leash. Speaking of a leash, Juneau is a fantastic walker. She walks great on a leash. She does not pull and loves her daily walks. Juneau is also great in the car. While you are at work, Juneau is content to relax in her crate. She does not make a sound. In fact, Juneau isn’t a big barker at all. 

 

Juneau really just wants a home where she can be loved and snuggled as much as possible. She enjoys sleeping on the couch, curled up next to her family, as they watch tv. At night Juneau will sleep in her bed on the floor, and sometimes she will be up on the bed with you. Just depends on the amount of space and your wants. Juneau will make an excellent companion for just about anyone. She will jump when excited so a home without toddlers to knock down would be better for her. She has a gentle soul and a gentle demeanor to match. She is very smart and eager to please.
