Please meet Prince William or Big Willie as we like to call him!  This handsome boy is 1 year old and 17 pounds.  We think he is a Dachshund Terrier mix - he has a long body 

Willie is a wonderful dog - he is very sweet and loving.  He came into his foster home like he lived there forever and he has blended in so well.  He gets along well with the other dogs in his home and is playful with them.  Willie loves to be outside and is always the last one inside!  He has good watchdog tendencies - always watching for what does not belong! Willie is happy to get attention and affection from his foster mom.  He listens well and is eager to please.  

Willie has a good start with his house manners!  He is crate trained and often puts himself in it when he is ready for a break or bed.  Housetraining is coming along well - so far no snow so we still have to wait for his reaction to that!  He has a fully fenced yard in his foster home so that is a big help.  Please expect some adjustment time and accidents as he learns a new home and routine.  We started leash training with Willie and he will need additional training with this.  He has the concept but just needs more practice.  As we said, he is good with other dogs of various sizes.  He shows interest in the house cats, especially when they are outside.  He just watches them intently to make sure they are not doing what they shouldn't.  

Willie is young, happy and cuddly - a perfect mix of a dog!

Willie is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  He has also had a ProHeart 12 injection which covers his heartworm prevention for 1 year.  His adoption fee is $400
