Ladies and Gentlemen – may we introduce Miss Liza – and that is “Liza with a Z” – Minelli.  This gorgeous girl earned her name when she was found “off Broadway” in a sprawling Texas city.  Street-wise & savvy, this little lady traveled all the way to Western New York to find her forever home.

Liza is a 2 year old chihuahua mix.  Her fur is soft as velvet and the color of everyone’s favorite dessert – cheesecake!  With those big ears and l-o-n-g body, there is probably some doxie in there…which would make her a “cheesecake chiweenie”!

Liza is hesitant around new people.  Given her history , this is perfectly understandable, so please give her the grace to learn her new surroundings and become confident in her forever home.  When company comes to your home, she will bark.  And bark.  And bark…then conduct some thorough sniffing to determine if these folks are a threat to her family's safety.  It may take more than one encounter to win her over, men and women both.  Everybody needs to pass muster before she lets her guard down.  Because of this, Liza would not be a good fit for apartment living.  Once she does trust you – she will want to be with you always.  You will immediately know that all the effort you put forth in getting to know this girl was completely worth it.

Liza is doing a great job with housebreaking.  She goes potty outside with the other dogs in her foster home and also uses potty pads during the day because her foster mom works. Please know that there may be accidents as she adjusts to a new home and new rules.  Please be patient as she learns the ropes of her forever home.  Liza is working on her leash training.  She has the basics, but her forever family will need to work with her to take her the rest of the way and allow her to be confident walking on the sidewalk, showing off her new forever family.

Liza does well with the other dogs in her foster home, but has not been tested with cats or children. 

Liza is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  Her adoption fee is $400
