11/24/09 - Picasso is doing great in foster care.  He is playful with the other dogs and will snuggle up with them to snooze too.  He does fine in a crate at night but will jump a gate in a heartbeat!  He is very agile!  Picasso has the heart of a nomad and this boy wants to run!  If given the opportunity he will try to escape and be off like a cream colored blurr!  He is going to need a fenced yard - one that the house door opens up in to.  No exceptions!!  No electric fences either.  We would hate to see Picasso lost again and we are going to make sure his new family does everything possible to prevent that.

This handsome little fellow will be available for adoption on Nov. 5th
Picasso is a very sweet and good natured little man.  He does well with the other dogs in the house and is fine with the cats too.  Picasso likes to snuggle up with you but boy can this little guy snore so be prepared!  Picasso is doing very well on his housetraining but you can expect some accidents as with any new dog.  He is always ready to go outside and likes to explore.  We are testing his leash skills this week.
Picasso is cut short but his coat will be long.  He will need regular grooming every 6-8 weeks so please be prepared to commit to that if you are considering adopting him.  Please research the breed before applying, Pekes are wonderful dogs but may need extra attention (eyes, nose, grooming, etc.)
