Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat) : : Male (not neutered, but will be before adoption) : : Baby : : Large
Learn more about the Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler. Bubba is ready to find his new home! Bubba and his brother came to us from Texas hoping to find their happily ever afters here in Buffalo! They were born in rescue in Texas and we know their mom was a 45 pound Heeler mix and we have a sneaking suspicion that dad was a pit mix! The boys are 3 months old and growing fast - we expect them to be medium/large when fully grown. Nick & Bubba are happy puppies, full of kisses and cuddles. They are very playful and love to get into mischief. Both love to be outside and will play out there for a long time! They get along great with other dogs and are also respectful to the old fogies in their foster home too. The boys are crate trained and are doing well with their housetraining. They are still just babies so please expect additional training and accidents. They get let outside often in their foster home and have a fully fenced yard to romp around in. What can we say about Bubba! He is short, fat and funny! Hubba Bubba! He is a bit lazy too. Like Nick, he loves to be outdoors but will come in when called. He is a big fan of long naps! He is very playful and tries hard to get everyone to wrestle with him. He pretends hunts/stalks the other dogs and it is quite a show. He does win everyone over with his silly antics in the end. Bubba likes to find adventures with his brother but he is also content sitting on his foster mom's lap. We don't know how much longer he will be able to do that though! He is a big fan of toys and chewies. Bubba will be happy with a family to play with or a friend to someone who wants a bit of a couch potato for a dog! Bubba is current on age-appropriate vaccines, dewormed and microchipped. We require a spay/neuter contract to be signed at the time of adoption (the cost of his neuter is included in his adoption fee and fully explained in the contract). He is scheduled to be neutered and at Operation Pets in February 2023 and it will be the adopter's responsibility to take him to the appointment.
