German Shepherd Lovers - take a look at Oskar!  This handsome puppy is 4 months old and already weighs close to 30 pounds.  He is going to be a big boy when he is fully grown.  

Oskar has classic GSD looks and personality - we can see why they are a very popular breed! Oskar is intelligent and curious, ready to get into mischief at the drop of a hat!  He has been great with the other dogs in his foster home, big and small.  All he wants to do is play around and wrestle.  He is loyal and loving - bonding quickly to his foster mom.  We know he will easily transfer that love to his new family!  GSDs are known to be great family dogs and good with kids - we do not doubt that Oskar will follow that path.  Oh Oskar can be sensitive too - he is all the feels when he is corrected, or his long tail gets stepped on by accident!  Oh, the drama.  

This smart boy can already walk on a leash and is pretty much crate trained (just a little fussing when he goes in there initially). He is doing well on his housetraining and with a good routine should be there in no time.  But he is still a puppy so expect accidents and additional training time.  He has a fully fenced yard in his foster home so that is helpful for his training and to help burn off his puppy energy.  Remember, German Shepherds are working dogs that enjoy activity or "jobs."  They get bored when they are not stimulated mentally and physically!  We have started working on basic commands and he is beginning to catch on.  Oskar is food motivated and that is a big help in his training! Oskar wants to be with his people as much as possible - not put in a crate and forgotten about! 

Oskar is just a puppy and will require a home that has the time and patience to help him grow into the amazing dog he is destined to be.  He is a blank slate with all the potential in the world!  If a gorgeous German Shepherd is your dream dog - Oskar is your boy!
