Chihuahua / Terrier / Mixed (short coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Small
Learn more about the Chihuahua. Our beautiful Zoey is available for adoption! Zoey came to us from Texas and needed double cherry eye surgery, which she promptly received from our vet. She is about 2 years old and weighs 15 pounds. We believe she is a chihuahua/terrier mix. She is quite pretty that's for sure! Zoey is a happy girl in her foster home. She will sit quietly in her crate as her foster mom works. During the day, the door is always open and she will cuddle up with another small dog in there. Zoey was shy when she first came to our rescue but she has learned to trust people and loves to be pet and get some booty scratches! She did great at a recent event and loved to meet new people. She is not a fan of the leash and just freezes when she is on one. So at this point, we are requiring a fully fenced yard for her (no invisible or portable fences). Zoey does well with other dogs. Another dog in her new home would be nice for her - she wants a buddy to hang out with her! She is working hard on her housetraining and will use potty pads in her foster home as well. She does bark at the cats when she sees them but that is it. She did fine with kids at the event but does not live with any in her foster home. Zoey has a sweet disposition and is very loving. She is waiting to find her new person or family and hopes it will be soon! Zoey is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm. She has also had the double cherry eye surgery and did great! Her adoption fee is $400
