Charlie is now available for adoption! This playful, energetic pup came from the City of Buffalo animal shelter and was adopted out, but returned due to his territorial issues.  He is about 3 years old and 15 pounds. 

This little guy has the biggest heart and is the sweetest, most gentle dog with his foster family. He cuddles and plays with the children in the home. He loves other dogs and runs around and wrestles with the resident dog. He is potty-trained and loves to go for walks on a leash. He is a great family dog, but he is a guard dog and he does not like guests coming into the home due to his territorial issues. He does bark and will bite someone that he is not familiar with. Due to this issue, he will need to be crated with company. He does fine in the crate and does not mind being in there for a time.  He does have a fenced in yard at his foster home and he likes to leap around and run in it, so a fenced-in yard is preferred but not necessary as he does enjoy walks. He follows his foster mom all around and is ready for action but he is also content to sit on your lap or next to you while you are relaxing. He can be left out when you are not home and does not chew things up. He has been tested with cats and did not have any issues.   He is looking for a family to love with his whole heart, and although he does well with children in the home, because of the territory issues, we would prefer an adults-only home.
