Learn more about the Rat Terrier.

Sherman is available for adoption!  He is a local boy from our city shelter.  He was found as a stray and never claimed.  Sherman is a rat terrier mix and he is about 3 years old and 10 pounds.

Sherman is a dream dog in his foster home!  He is quiet and blends right in with the pack.  Sherman is a lap dog and loves to jump into his foster mom's lap while she works.  When that isn't possible, he will find a spot to snooze - sometimes it's on the stairs and we are stepping over him!  He is fine with other dogs, not a big player but doesn't mind it when the antics ensue around him.  He just goes on his merry way.  He has been around kids 12+ with no issues.  Sherman is learning to walk on a leash and is doing well.  He likes the fully fenced yard he has in his foster home too!  Sherman is crate trained too.  He would love a home that can give him lots of lap time and love.  But of course he wants to be outside for adventures too.  With a little work, he will be a great walking buddy.  Sherman is a happy loving dog and will make a great friend and companion.

Sherman is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  His adoption fee is $400
