Cute puppy alert!  And he's a corgi mix!  Please meet Charlie - and they don't get much cuter than this little guy!  Charlie is a local dog - about 6 months old and a mix of Corgi and Parson Russell Terrier (the scruffy JRTs!).  He came to us when his elderly owner decided that a high energy puppy was just too much to handle.  PSA - please do not buy a puppy or young dog for an older relative because you think they are lonely.  There are plenty of adult and senior dogs that need homes and people should pick the dog that is the best match for them and their lifestyle IF they really want a dog!  

Now Charlie is all puppy and has lots of energy to burn!  He is a happy-go-lucky little guy that is a friend to everyone he meets.  Charlie loves to be outside and the weather doesn't matter - typical kid!  He has a fully fenced yard in his foster home and is just so happy to tear up the yard running and playing with the other dogs in the home.  He is very good with other dogs and another playful dog in the home would be great.  He likes toys and will shred them to find the squeaker! Charlie is still a puppy but is doing very well with his housetraining.  Please expect accidents though and he learns a new routine. He is walking on a leash but would prefer the freedom of a fully fenced yard (no electric or invisible fences) Charlie has a huge bark - like HUGE.  And he howls.  So apartments will not be a good option for him.  He can hear a pin drop with those ears!  Now the worst thing about Charlie is he is not crate trained.  He carries on so bad and loud it sounds like you are killing him and his foster mom just gave up.  He does fine being gated, especially if he has another dog to cuddle with.  Charlie is a blank slate that needs training to make him the best dog ever!  He is very smart, food motivated and eager to please (except for the whole crate thing).   Charlie loves people and would be a great little family dog.  

Charlie is up to date with vaccines, microchipped and flea/worm treated.  We are requiring a spay/neuter contract to be signed at the time of adoption (the cost of his neuter is included in the adoption fee and fully explained in the contract).  He is scheduled to be neutered at Operation Pets on May 20th.  Charlie's adoption fee is $450
