Riley is available for adoption!  This beauty is  a 5 year old female Australian Shepherd that came to us a local owner surrender due to allergies.

Riley is all Aussie from her blue Merle coat and blue eyes to her high energy intelligent working breed personality.  Riley requires daily exercise and enrichment.  She also requires regular grooming with brushing at home weekly.  With her original owner, she had ACL surgery on her right leg.  She will benefit from being on a daily joint supplement.  Her foster family has started her on Dasuquin.  Riley shows no discomfort or limitations from her surgery.  On extremely cold days or over playing with her foster brother she will favor it for a short period but never shows discomfort. 

Miss Riley loves car rides and knows all her basic commands she has shown no aggression towards other dogs, cats, or people.  If you know Aussies, you know they are a very jealous breed that needs to be the center of the family’s love.  That is Riley to a tee - she has been the center of her foster family's attention.  She needs to be wherever they are and help them in whatever they are doing. 

Riley loves all toys.  She will carry her “babies” around and has her favorites.  Even though she would prefer not to share with her foster siblings she never says no.  She loves to engage in play with all her friends. 

Riley is house-trained and will go into her crate.  She prefers to just lay on the couch though - she is well behaved when left alone.   She will bark and show some signs of what you call kennel aggression when crated.  

Riley is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated, tested neg. for heartworm.  She has also had a dental while in rescue and professionally groomed.  Her adoption fee is $450
