Little Miss Matilda or Tilly as her foster mom calls her is ready for her new home!  Tilly is a tiny long hair chihuahua, about 4 pounds and 8 years old.  Tilly is a local dog who was surrendered when her owner was not able to care for her.  Tilly came to us in rough shape with severe mouth infections and desperately needing a dental. 

Tilly is a feisty little redhead!  She is very affectionate with people and loves to be in your lap, stealing kisses all day if she could!  She is a true lap dog!  When you are not able to hold her, she is happy to snuggle up to the other dogs in her foster home.  She prefers the ones that are bigger and give off more heat!  Tilly would love to be on the couch with you all day if she could!  Tilly will do her business outside but you have to take her out - she does not go out on her own.  She is more comfortable using potty pads in her home and we suspect that is all she used in her previous home.  She is not great with stairs, she will not go down them and only goes up to get back into the house.  Tilly would be fine with well-behaved kids (12+) but since she is so small, we will not adopt her to a home with small, active kids.  Although she is fine with other dogs, she can be bossy and will growl if they approach her 'stuff' (food, chewies) so if there is another dog in her home, they need to be tolerant of this attitude.   Tilly has a long coat and she requires grooming occasionally.  

Tilly is now spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  She has had bloodwork done and a dental.  Tilly's adoption fee is $400
