Say hello to Chanelle - or Nelly (or Cha Na Na LOL) as her foster mom calls her!  She is a gorgeous chocolate chihuahua, 1-year-old and about 10 pounds.  Chanelle is a local dog, her owner could no longer care for her as she needed.  

Chanelle is a happy little dog that loves to give kisses!  She will jump up into her foster mom's lap and surprise her with a kiss!  She is very playful with other dogs so another little dog around her size or a little bigger that likes to play would be ideal - she likes to be.  She has a big energy level when she plays too and it can get a little rough as she really likes to wrestle and run!  She is still young and puppylike and on occasion, likes to irritate the older dogs in her foster home.  She is quickly corrected and goes on her merry way looking for another adventure. Chanelle loves toys and chewies like cow hooves - they keep her busy when it's time to quiet down!  Chanelle is a cuddler too!  She loves to be in a lap or snuggled into a pile of dogs when it is naptime.  She is very happy to go outside and we haven't had many issues getting her to go out in bad weather.  She has just started working on her leash skills but will need continued training on this.  She is good in a crate.  Chanelle falls in love with her person pretty fast and she is crazy loyal too.  Once she knows you and likes you, she will do anything to be in your lap and giving you kisses.   Older kids would be fine in her new home, probably 12+.  She has been around them and did ok.  Cats are not an issue either.   She has made great progress with her leash walking skills, crate training, potty, and sleep routines.  Chanelle enjoys car rides but does experience car sickness.  Chanelle has a powerful bark therefore, apartment living would not be suitable for her.  

Chanelle is spayed, up to date with her vaccines, microchipped, and tested neg. for
heartworm. Her adoption fee is $400.
