Meet King! King is a local boy found as a stray and never claimed. We can never understand how someone can let that happen, especially to a little senior dog!  King is a Chihuahua mix who is about 10 years old or so and weighs 8 pounds. 

We quickly got him into a foster home where he has adjusted nicely. His personality is very laid back. He loves to cuddle and be petted by his foster mom and dad. He is friendly to everyone. He simply needs love, a cushy bed and healthy soft food. He had a dental on 11/16/21, and all his teeth needed to be removed because of severe dental disease. King doesn’t seem to mind at all! He has a healthy appetite for all the soft foods he eats in his foster home. He will need this type of diet for the rest of his life, no kibble for this little gentleman. 

King is fully potty trained. His foster mom works from home, and he goes outside on a regular schedule. He sleeps in a crate at night, with no problem. He loves snoozing in a soft bed in his foster mom’s office, as she works. He enjoys walks on a leash with his foster sisters, who are also little dogs. He gets along well with them but does not seem to need to interact with another dog. He would do fine being an only dog or sharing a home with other dogs who are respectful of his passive nature and size. He has not been tested with cats, but since he is so laid back, there should not be a problem. King has shown no interest in playing with toys.

King would enjoy a home with adults who are home much of the time, or ideally, work from home or are retired. Older children who are respectful can be considered.

King is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations, microchipped,  flea/heartworm treated and tested negative for heartworm.  His adoption fee is $200 to help cover his dental and medical needs.
