Learn more about the Basset Hound. Who doesn't love a Bassett Hound! Freddy is a 6 year old Bassett that came to us from Texas. His owner was no longer able to take care of him when he was admitted to a nursing home and no one was able to take his dogs. We scooped them up! Freddy is about 62 pounds so he is a big boy! Freddy is a typical Basset - he loves everyone! He is a friendly and affectionate boy, always ready for a walk. Freddy likes to keep an eye on his foster mom and when he can't see her behind closed doors, he tells her OPEN UP! Freddy has a great big bark so apartments will not be considered for him. He is leash trained and housetrained (please expect some adjustment time just to be safe). He does not use a crate in his foster home. Freddy has no issues with the cats in his foster home. Freddy thinks he is a little lap dog when he tries to crawl into his foster mom's lap! He is a gentle boy that wants his new life in Buffalo to begin with finding his new family! Freddy is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm. His adoption fee is $400. Freddy will be at Flying Bison Brewing 5/8 for meet and greets only! Come say hi!
