Lucas is a fluffy boy, about 7 years old.  We believe he is a havanese/poodle mix.  Lucas was surrendered to a local shelter and needed a rescue to bail him out.  

Lucas is a nice little dog!  He loves his foster mom and follows her everywhere, finding a bed in whatever room they are in and snoozing until it's time to move again!  Lucas is leash trained and now crate trained!  He likes to take walks around the neighborhood and meet new people.  He appears to be housetrained but please expect some accidents as he adjusts to a new routine.  Lucas has a fully fenced yard in his foster home, which he loves.  He likes to play fetch with a ball and will chase it on his own too.  Lucas is a good watch dog with a big bark so we will not place him in an apartment or condo.  We think Lucas was not treated so well in his previous home.  If he thinks he is in trouble, he will cower as if he is expecting to be hit.  Lucas did not do well with the child in his previous home so we are asking for no kids - we do not have a full story but we do not want to set him up for failure.  When he first came to foster care, he would lash out at other smaller dogs or puppies.  He has improved but if there is another dog in the home, it will need to be larger then him.  He barks at the cats but has improved in the time he has been in foster care.  Lucas will need to be groomed every 6-8 weeks for the rest of his life so please take that into consideration.  

Lucas is now neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  He has also been given a dental and was professionally groomed.  Lucas's adoption fee is $450
