Meet Crumpet! Crumpet is an incredibly happy and friendly dog that came to us from Texas where he was found as a stray. But life on the street hasn’t hardened this friendly little guy at all! We think he is about 1 and he still has some of that puppy energy, which has been great for training. He weighs about 7lbs and we aren’t quite sure what breed he is, all we know is that he is adorable!

Crumpet loves everything life has to offer him-- people, cats, dogs, snow, toys...you name it! Crumpet is very smart and loves affection of any kind-- he learned to “sit” in about 10 minutes with no treats to help him along, just praise! He loves to play with the resident cat in the home and with the other dogs in the apartment building, no matter their size! Crumpet would love a furry brother or sister to play with, or even some tiny humans! He plays hard, and sleeps hard. Crumpet naps (ideally on your lap) during the day and sleeps through the night in his foster mom’s bed with no issues-- you can get 10 or more hours of uninterrupted rest before he stirs. Housetraining is coming along but he does mark which we hope will change once he is in his forever home, but in the meantime he wears a belly band with no issues. He didn’t come to us potty trained, but he is such a quick learner that it took about a day before he knew he had to go outside to do his business. He will communicate with you when he has to go out, and when you listen, he doesn’t usually have any accidents but he is still learning. We are working on leash and crate training but he is making good progress! He has a very large bark, so no absolutely apartments or townhouses for him. A fenced in yard would be ideal for this playful little guy, but if you’re willing to work with him on leash training, he would be okay without one too as long as he gets at least one ‘long’ walk a day.

Crumpet is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and he tested negative for heartworm. His adoption fee is $400
