Learn more about the Chihuahua. Patti Lou is now ready for her forever home. We don't know much about Patti Lou's history, but what we do know is sad. She came from Texas in search of a new home. When she arrived, this sweetheart was covered in fleas. While giving her a bath, her foster mama noticed that she had a rough patch of fur around her neck. After trying to wash it out, her mama relalized that there was a staples in her neck. We are not talking about surgical staples but staples from a stapler! Someone had actually put 4 staples in this sweet little girls neck for no reason. We can only imagine the pain that must have caused her. That didn't break her spirit though. Patti Lou is a sweet, quiet little lady. All she would like to do is curl up on the couch or in a bed near you.
Patti Lou does not ask for much. Just a person to love her, feed her, and keep her safe and warm. Coming from Texas, this cold weather makes her fur stand up. She is experiencing her first Buffalo winter, and would her sweater on at all times. Patti is completely crate trained. She does not make a sound in the crate. If fact she is so quiet and laid back, it is easy to forget that she is in the house. She does have spurts of energy. Those mainly take place as a way to tell you she has to potty. If you ignore her signs, she will go in the house, but if you pay attention and listen to her, she will go outside without any issues. Patti does what she needs to do and comes right back in. Her favorite place to lay, is in the doggie bed directly in front of the heat vent. Patti Lou is a perfect little girl. She walks very well on a leash and is excellent in the car. She is a little shy initially, but who can really blame her. Once she is comfortable, she will greet her family with a wagging tail and a happy little smile. Patti Lou is great with other dogs. We are unsure about cats but we can only assume that she would have no issues with them. Patti would prefer a nice quiet home with older kids that know how to respect a small dog. She has been through enough and just wants to relax. If you think you can help precious Patti forget her past, make sure you apply today, You won't be sorry. Patti is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm. She also has had basic bloodwork done and a dental. Her adoption fee is $350
