Lucy is ready for adoption.  She is a 5 year pomeranian mix that traveled from Texas in the hopes of finding her forever home in WNY. Lucy is a very sweet and loving girl towards her humans.  She is a good natured dog, whose only desire is to find a comfy lap to sit on. She is fostered with other dogs, who she tolerates.  It is clear though that Lucy would prefer to be the only dog in the home.  She wants to be the center of attention. 

Lucy is a quiet girl who rarely barks.  In her foster home, Lucy does have a fenced in yard and seems to be housebroken. She knows exactly what to do when she is outside and will start pacing when she has to go out.  Lucy is crate trained, excellent on a leash, and great in the car.  Lucy loves to play with her people.  She is all about the wrestling and hand play.  She will come running up to her foster family as fast as her little legs will let her, then flop over for belly rubs.  Oh the belly rubs, those are her favorite.  At night time, Lucy will curl up in a ball, rest her head on her foster mama's lap, and sleep under the covers all night. No need to get up with her for an overnight potty break. Lucy loves to sleep.  Her foster mama usually has to get her up in the morning to go potty. Lucy does have a couple little quirks about her.  She does not like to be pulled out of her crate by her collar, nor does she want to be picked up out of her doggie bed when she is sleeping. If she is sitting on the couch with her family, she does not want another dog to jump up in her face. She feels those are her people and another dogs will steal their love. Although Lucy has been around kids as young as 8, we do feel a home with children over 12 would be best for her.  The craziness of smaller children can be a little overwhelming for her.  Do not worry though if small children do visit, Lucy is happy to sleep the time away in her crate or in another room.  If you think that Lucy is the right fit for your home, please make sure you apply today.
