Zyna is the last of litter we are calling the Gas puppies. The puppies were found under a house in Texas, soaked in gasoline. The owner of the home said he was trying to kill the fleas and ticks on them. Thankfully a neighbor heard their screams and cries and reached out to our local rescue partners. They hurried in to save them and get them into the ER. Unfortunately 2 did not survive. Zyna had the worst wounds of the litter and needed more time to heal than the other pups. We are grateful they are here and we get to place them into loving homes! Oh, this little girl has been through a lot in her young life, so you can pardon her antics! She was still bleeding from her wounds when she came into rescue, but now they have all healed and she has almost doubled in size especially her legs! She is a beautiful girl who is very smart and very energetic. She is super lovable, friendly, playful and very happy. However, the flip side is she also can be destructive and mouthy with her puppy teeth. She will need someone dedicated to train her properly. She has a lot of scar tissue, so that may cause her some discomfort at times, so she needs to be gently soothed and massaged. She loves other dogs but can play rough sometimes so another dog would be a great companion for her to learn from. She is doing well with going outside, but will still have accidents when not let out in time. She knows the command sit and will wait for her food. She will come when called and is very treat motivated. She is learning to walk with a leash and is doing okay. She just needs practice. When she came into rescue her wounds were all over her body so a harness or collar were not practical. She is a very active dog so morning and evening walks plus plenty of playtime will be needed. She is probably going to be a medium to large dog so a fenced yard will also be required. At night Zyna loves to snuggle in with you and lay her head across your neck. She is so absolutely adorable, but having gone through so much, she has some catching up to do as far as general training. This is a puppy for a person/family that can take the time to train her. She did well in a crate with another dog but does not do well by herself. Zyna is spayed, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated. Her adoption fee is $400
