Peter picked Piper to be his best friend.  The two of them traveled from Texas in search of their forever homes. Where you find one, you know the other is right there as well.  Although they would like to stay together, we know that is not always possible.  Peter is a 3-year blond chihuahua mix.  He has long lean legs that make him a bit taller in stature than Piper.  

Peter is a very sweet and loving boy.  There is no shortage of kisses with this guy around.  If you get tired of them, don't worry he will give you air kisses.  Peter is very calm and quiet.  At times you hardly even notice that he is around unless he is trying to get into your lap or on the couch.  Peter is a perfect gentleman.  He is housebroken and crate trained. Peter enjoys being outside and laying in the sun.  At night he and Piper curl up together in their doggy bed and snore away, as content as can be.  There is no middle of the night potty breaks for him. He is past that stage.  

Peter does have bad knees, possibly from a previous injury, and sadly there is nothing we can do about that.  He can do the small set of stairs in and out of his foster home, but he does need assistance getting on and off the couch or bed.  Peter has been around children as young as 10 and seems to be just fine with them. Peter gets along well with other dogs.  There are no cats in his current foster home, so we are unsure of how Peter will be with them.  He does very well in the car. Peter is not leash trained at this time, so a fenced yard will be preferred (no invisible fences).  if you think you have a nurturing home, and Peter, would complete your family,  make sure you apply today.
